Title: Dr. Jones, I Presume?
Author: Fox
Pairing: Billy/Dom
Rating: PG
Summary: Billy agrees to replace another actor in a film. Things do not go so well.
A/N: This was written for the 2009 [livejournal.com profile] lotrips_remix. For some reason I never archived it here.

Many and repeated thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pippinmctaggart for the beta and hand-holding and to [livejournal.com profile] tigg71 for the read-through. Although this has been betaed, I am a compulsive tinkerer and any mistakes are mine.

Ordinarily, it wouldn't have been a problem because ordinarily, actors were replaced before principal filming began. Unfortunately for Billy, this wasn't an ordinary circumstance.

Feedback will be treasured.

Author: Fox
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: background Billy/Ewan
Summary: Captain Boyd and his Merry Men blow up stuff in the desert.
Disclaimer: Not true. Names mentioned in this story do not constitute the actors knowledge of or agreement with what I've written.

A/N: This ficlet takes place in my 'Running with the Shadows' WWII AU.

Many thanks out to [livejournal.com profile] pippinmctaggart and [livejournal.com profile] tigg71 who first betaed this thing way back in 2009, and to [livejournal.com profile] miribilist who gave me a fantastic beta this year. ♥

While this has been betaed, I am a compulsive tinkerer and any mistakes are mine.

Fabulous WWII icon courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] sandelwood.

This ficlet takes place immediately after this, which should be read first.

The Hypothetical AU Meme: Take any one of the fandoms you know I write/like and give me a type of AU (space opera AU, pirate AU, superhero AU, etc) OR another time period (Ancient Rome, Regency England, etc). I will then explain the gist of the story I would write for that AU.

Have at it! =D

Title: The Space Between
Author: Fox
Pairing: Robert/Saito
Rating: PG at best
A/N: Written for the kink meme prompt Robert/Saito: writing on each other's bodies.

This is unbetaed.

Title from the Dave Matthews song.

Robert squirmed, the light pressure of the brush on his skin tickling.

"Be still, Robert."

He settled as best he could, occupying his mind with trying to guess what Saito was writing--painting--on his belly. He'd seen Saito using a set of calligraphy brushes and an ink stone to compose a formal notice or letter when he'd come into the study, and suddenly decided he'd wanted to see those lovely characters on his skin. Saito had smiled indulgently, his eyes crinkling in the corners, and agreed. He'd told Robert to take off his shirt and lie on the small sofa, and whilst Robert was doing so, he'd brought over the brushes and ink stone. He'd made some brush strokes--both fine and wide as far as Robert could tell--and then, after a final dot of ink, his brows relaxed from the furrow of concentration. He smiled, obviously pleased at the end product and let Robert up enough to look.

"Lovely," Robert breathed, his fingers hovering over the drying ink, but not touching. He looked up into Saito's face. "What does it say?"

Saito's face was unreadable, but his eyes flashed hot for a moment. "Mine."

This fic is my contribution to [livejournal.com profile] monaboyd_month this year.

Title: Tomorrow Never Knows
Author: Fox
Pairing, characters: Billy/Dom ust, Tenth Doctor
Rating: PG-13 for language
Word count: 2900
Warnings: Should the Tenth Doctor's hair get a warning? ;-)
Summary: "Oi," the Doctor said, glaring at Dom. "Just you remember who it is who's given you the trip of a lifetime."

"A man who takes way to much joy in shouting "run"?" Billy said, straight-faced.

Shift your arse, Monaghan, we're losing the daylight.

I've decided to put fic up for bid at [livejournal.com profile] helpbrazil2011 to try and help with the aftermath of the massive flooding over there.

My offer:

Fic of at least 1000 words. You may choose to send me a new prompt or you may request an extension/new installment of a fic listed in my memories.
Fandom/s: Lotrips--primarily monaboyd, although I'll try my hand at most others, Top Gear, Inception, Magnificent Seven.
Characters/Pairings: I'll write gen, slash, het, and poly relationships. I am equally comfortable writing canon and AU for all fandoms, and I'll write gen all the way up to NC-17. For TG, I write any variation of the OT3 and have no problem including the Stig or wives and girlfriends. For Lotrips, I don't write Viggo or JRD in slash situations, but am fine with including them as gen side characters. I'm fine writing pretty much any pairing for Inception or Mag 7. Crossovers with fandoms not listed here can be discussed. I don't do death fic or dub/non-con, but will try my hand at pretty much anything else. I am a pokey writer, so it may take me awhile to post the fic, but I will update you as we go.
Requirements/Minimum bids: Bidding starts at $5.

My thread can be found here.

There are all sorts of things on offer over there: fic, graphics, beta services, hand-crafted gifts and jewellry and more. Please have a look around and see if anything there catches your eye. Every little bit counts.

Hey, fellow writers and artists! There's another new bigbang going on this year and I thought I'd toss up a link to it since it doesn't look like there's much action there yet.

Complete AU BigBang is a little different than some of the other BigBangs in that it must be completely AU from whatever canon is available. As far as I can tell, it's anything you want to write - RPF, FPF, slash, het, gen, crossovers, whatever - as long as every character is in a different situation than their canon has them in.

Sounds like fun, non? Pass the word around even if you don't want to or can't participate yourself. More AU is always welcome!

I'm desperately trying something, anything to get my tricksy muses moving again. Please to help? ::bats eyelashes::

Take your pick or do more than one, your choice.

1) When we write and then post, our writing goes out into the public domain and is experienced/interpreted by the reader. But no-one ever asks the writer how they saw it, or what they like about something they've created, or what feedback they'd give themselves.

Pick something I've written and I'll tell you what I like about it (and maybe something I don't).

2) - Leave a comment and indicate which fandom interest of the ones we share you would like to think about - Baseball, Monaboyd, Lotrips, Boondock Saints, Top Gear, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly, Magnificent Seven, other rpf you've seen me write.
- I'll respond by asking you three hypothetical questions that are related to your choice to satisfy my curiosity.
- Update your journal with the answers to your questions.
- Include this explanation and offer to ask other people questions.

3) You give me the title of a fic I've never written, and I give you a synopsis of that fic. It's like getting a ficlet without the fiddly bits that I can never write. Next best thing! If you are feeling a hankering for a certain pairing or fandom, you can let me know that as well. Otherwise I will just go where the title takes me. They can be silly or lovely or stolen, it doesn't matter.

4) Ask any of my character(ization)s from any story a question. Did you ever wonder why someone did or said (or didn't do or say) something? Here's your chance to find out!

5) Have you ever wondered what happened in the past or the future of a story I've written? Pick any story, choose a time outside of what was written (two months before, ten years after, something different than the actual time frame of the fic) and I will tell you what happened then.

6) An old favorite of mine: Commentaries. If you ever wondered what my thought processes were while I was writing something, here's your chance to find out! Pick a story or a chapter of a story and I'll do you up a commentary on it.

Meme!

Now, some writers embrace their id and write it all out there, and that can be a fabulous thing. Self-awareness FTW. But often when I'm reading a fic I find myself wanting to tap the author and say, "Pardon me, did you know your id is showing?"

So, a couple of us got to wondering what our fics revealed about us. Hence this anonymeme. Are our ids showing?

The Rules:
1. Comment as yourself, with your name/LJ-handle in the title of the comment
2. Link others to your link
3. Comment anonymously on others' ids, as revealed in their fic
4. Play nice!

ETA: Or, yanno, not so anonymous. Sign in or no; either is fine.

Hello lovely readers! If you haven't heard yet, fandom has set up [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti to collect funds to help Haiti recover.

I have decided to put a fic up for auction here.

I am offering: Fic of at least 1000 words. You may choose to send me a new prompt or you may request an extension/new installment of any fic in my memories.

Fandoms (if appropriate): Top Gear and Lotrips--primarily monaboyd, although I do write other pairings--are my strongest fandoms at the moment.

Additional Info (optional): I'll write gen, slash and het. I am equally comfortable writing canon and AU for both TG and Lotrips, and I'm willing to write gen all the way up to NC-17. For TG, I write any variation of the OT3 and have no problem including the Stig or wives and girlfriends. For Lotrips, I don't write Viggo or JRD in slash situations, but am fine with including them as gen side characters. I don't do death fic or non-con, but will try my hand at pretty much anything else. I am a bit of a pokey writer, so it may be a bit past the February date that you receive the fic, but I will update you at that time.

Summary: Billy knew he was in trouble the moment he saw the studied casualness on Professor Tennant's face.
A/N: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] rane_ab for [livejournal.com profile] slashababy 2009. Many and repeated thanks out to [livejournal.com profile] babydazzle, [livejournal.com profile] rembrandt13 and [livejournal.com profile] reveritas for the betas and the incredibly important handholding. Title: Everything The War Calls Out Of Us
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] foxtales & [livejournal.com profile] cocking_about
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] kikiriki23
Fandom: Top Gear
Genre: Gen, WWI AU
Characters: Richard, James & Jeremy
Rating: R
Word Count: ~17,000
Warnings: Language, violence and gore.
Disclaimer: Although an attempt was made to be somewhat historically accurate regarding the major events surrounding the Battle of Bourlon Wood, this is a fictionalised account and cannot be taken as truth. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is totally intentional but completely unauthorised. No money is being made from their names and likenesses.
Summary: Jeremy laid back as well, his head spinning a bit and not just from his wound. Greasy, tasteless food, toxic mud, an enemy that could stumble across them at any moment, seam squirrels and rats and flies and stench, and milk tablets, for god's sake. He wasn't a religious man, but he found himself praying they found the Allied lines, and soon.
Authors' notes: Enormous thanks to the mods of [livejournal.com profile] rpf_big_bang for all their hard work in putting this challenge together! [livejournal.com profile] foxtales and I also want to thank [livejournal.com profile] tarteaucitron so, so much for her excellent beta work and Britpick (even though Top Gear's hardly her favourite), and [livejournal.com profile] elmathelas and [livejournal.com profile] msilverstar for the additional and invaluable help in the beta department.

Disclaimer: This story is not to be taken as factual even though there are factual elements to it - it is a fictionalized account and it did not happen. The characterizations are not the real people who's names and images I've used in my story - they are false and should not be taken to indicate any sort of agreement with what I've written. I am not making any money from this, only using my (admittedly) overactive imagination.
A/N: Artistic license is my friend. I've tried to be as accurate as possible but sometimes I tweak history to help myself out. ;-)
